FOR KOI PONDS AND WATER GARDENS

Ultimate Koi Clay has no expiration date and can be used year-round. 

Minimum Dose: Use one level tablespoon of Ultimate Koi Clay for each 1,000 gallons (US) of water, every other day for the first two weeks. Beginning the third week only dose once or twice per week. You can mix Ultimate Koi Clay into a container of pond water and pour it evenly around the pond or make it into a mud ball and lay it in a gently flowing stream of water so it goes into suspension slowly. If the pond is enclosed or outside with no breeze you can gently sprinkle the clay on the surface of the pond. Hold it close to the surface if doing so.

One cup will contain 16 tablespoons of clay. The 5 lb. jar contains approximately 204 tablespoons or 12.8 cups of clay. The 20 lb. pail contains approximately 816 tablespoons or 51.2 cups of clay. 

The minerals contained in Ultimate Koi Clay are beneficial to all living things. They benefit your plants and fish, as well as the bacteria living in your filters. Ultimate Koi Clay will remove toxins (heavy metals, free radicals, and pesticides). Ultimate Koi Clay literally attracts these elements like a magnet and then sucks them up like a sponge. This causes the entire "mess" to settle so it can be removed by a good mechanical filter or screened out manually. If left in the pond the toxins will remain bound in the clay. All this improves water clarity and quality.

FOR KOI Show Conditioning

If you plan to enter your koi or goldfish into a show it would be beneficial to dose with ½ cup per 1,000 gallons every other day for two weeks prior. After all, the best koi in the world come out of mud ponds!

FOR AQUARIUMS

Add one level tablespoon of Ultimate Koi Clay to 10 ounces of water and shake well. Add 1 ounce of the mixture to a 100-gallon aquarium, ½ ounce for a 50-gallon aquarium or ¼ ounce to a 20-gallon aquarium.

ADDING "Ultimate Koi Clay" TO THE FISH FOOD

Ultimate Koi Clay can be sprinkled on moistened fish food pellets or added to homemade paste foods. If you moisten the pellets you can also put them into a plastic bag containing Ultimate Koi Clay and shake it so the clay powder evenly covers the moist pellets. Spread them out onto a cookie sheet to dry and you can feed them later. Feeding your koi and goldfish calcium bentonite clay aids in their digestion as well as removing toxins from their bodies. By improving your fish's digestion, it decreases the amount of waste they produce which in turn reduces the load on your filter thus improving water quality.

VISIBLE BENEFITS TO YOUR FISH

Within two or three weeks you will see an improvement in your water as well as the skin quality of your koi and goldfish. The colors will be more vivid, and the white ground brighter. Your fish will show increased appetites and vigor.

BENEFITS TO PLANTS

Ultimate Koi Clay can be added to your potting soil or garden dirt. You can mix it with the potting soil, sprinkle it on the surface of potted plants or mix it with the water when watering your plants. If mixing it with the soil you only need 1 tablespoon for each gallon of soil. If using on your garden sprinkle it over the surface before tilling. Ultimate Koi Clay will add minerals lacking in your garden soil and improve the nutrition as well as the flavor of your vegetables. It also improves disease resistance in your plants.
